The competition will be conducted in accordance with FINA Rules 2017-2021 in force at the start of the competition
Eligibility
All participating Federations must be in good standing with FINA and all other affiliated members.
ALL ATHLETES, TEAM OFFICIALS AND TECHNICAL OFFICIALS OF REPRESENTING COUNTRIES MUST BE FULLY VACCINATED TO BE ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE.
Competitors who will be representing their countries must meet the following requirements:
- Demonstrate their age with proof such as what is seen on the birth certificate or Passport.
- The competitor must be a citizen, whether through birth or naturalization, of the country being represented, according to the GR-2.5 Rule of FINA.
- Additionally, non-citizens may be entered provided the competitor has been resident in the country for one year before the entry deadline and must not have swum for another Country during that period. All competitors must be registered with, or a member of, the country's swimming federation they represent. Competitors who are non-citizens are required to present 'proof of residency documents, which could be proof of club membership, proof of attendance at school or any other organization.
- The swimmer's age shall determine the swimmers' age group as of midnight, December 31st, 2021. Competitors shall compete in the following age groups:
- 11-12: Female and male-athletes born in the years 2010 and 2009 are eligible to compete
- 13-14: Female and male-athletes born in the years 2008 & 2007 are eligible to compete
- 15-17: Female and male-athletes born in the years 2006, 2005, 2004 are eligible to compete
- 18 & Older: Female and male athletes born in 2003 or before are eligible to compete
Registration & Entries
- Each National Federation will be limited to a maximum of 6 swimmers per age group, male and female, totaling a maximum of 48 swimmers overall.
- Swimmers may enter a total of three (3) individual events per day and a total of eight (8) for the entire meet. If events are not scratched by the deadline, they will automatically be dropped at the point of over entry.
- Except in relays, no substitutions or alternates will be accepted after submitting the final entries.
- All relay participants must have been entered in the meet. No competitor will be allowed to participate in an age group outside of their age group.
Preliminary Entries
The attached forms must submit preliminary entries or intention to participate in Pan Am Aquatics by April 8th, 2022. Preliminary entries must indicate the number of swimmers – male and female – in each age group.
Final Entries
Final entries must be submitted to Pan Am Aquatics by May 1st, 2022. Entries will be submitted on https://sistema2022ag.panamaquaticsevents.com/ Meet entries can be completed directly on Hércules©.
Alternatively, SwimCloud also accepts Hytek or Lenex compatible entry files. Just be sure to download and use the official event file.

- There will be Hércules© training sessions offered. Dates and times to be determined
Final entries must include:
- Name of Team Officials and the position held by each official
- Details of arrival and departure of all athletes, team and meet officials (see attached form)
- Despite entry submission in electronic format on Hércules©, a Team or Meet Manager's printout, signed by the President or General Secretary of the Federation with the Association's stamp affixed must be emailed to the Organizing Committee, by the deadline date Sunday, May 1st 2022. The psych sheet will be posted on the Pan Am Aquatic website by May 20th, 2022.
Scratches
Scratches prior to seed of preliminary heats shall be made by properly filling out/depositing a scratch card in the scratch box located at the Clerk of Course/Admin Referee table. Scratch deadlines for Thursday’s events is at the conclusion of the coaches meeting, Friday’s events must be by Thursday evening at 6:00pm. For Saturday’s events, you must scratch by Friday at 6:00pm. Sunday’s events you must scratch by Saturday at 6:00pm.
Time Trials
Time trials will be offered at the end of each session in the events not listed in the meet programme. For athletes entered in the meet, time trial entries must be submitted each day one hour before the start of each session to the Meet Referee. An athlete may only participate in one time trial per day. Athletes will be required to provide their lap counter assistant as necessary.
Open events
The 400-, 800- and 1500-meter Freestyle, the 200- Butterfly, Backstroke, and Breaststroke and 400-meter Individual Medley events will swim as Open events.
